About Our School

The Academy of Massage Therapy and Reflexology is a state-authorized massage school in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our 650-hour Massage Therapy and Bodywork Program prepares students for the MBLEx licensing exam and a career as a licensed massage therapist. Training is practical from day one — the techniques you learn in class are the ones you practice on real clients in our supervised student clinic, so you graduate ready to put your skills to work right away and find the position that fits you. And these are skills for life: many of our students also use what they learn to help their own family members ease everyday aches, tension, and pain.

A Growing, Well-Paid Career

Massage therapy is one of the fastest-growing healthcare careers in the U.S. The median annual wage for massage therapists was $58,450 in May 2025, with the top 10% earning more than $100,200, and employment is projected to grow 15% from 2025 to 2035 — much faster than average. Graduates work in spas, clinics, chiropractic offices, hotels, or their own practices. (Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics; earnings vary by employer, experience, and hours worked.)

Skills You'll Learn

Training is hands-on from day one: Swedish and therapeutic massage techniques, anatomy & physiology, kinesiology, pathology and contraindications, client assessment and SOAP notes, hydrotherapy, professional ethics and Indiana law — plus 125 hours of supervised clinical practice with real clients and dedicated preparation for the MBLEx exam. And learning doesn't stop at graduation: the Academy is steadily adding practical continuing-education courses, including advanced training in pain management.

Massage Therapy & Bodywork Program — 650 Hours

Our flagship certificate program prepares you for massage therapy licensure in Indiana. Study anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, master Swedish and therapeutic massage techniques, and practice on real clients in our supervised student clinic — 125 of the program's 650 hours. You will graduate ready for the MBLEx licensing exam and your first position as a licensed massage therapist. See the Classes page for tuition, schedules, and payment plans.

Reflexology & Advanced Training

Start with our 210-hour Reflexology Therapy Program — a focused path into professional foot reflexology. After licensure, keep growing with our 125-hour Advanced Therapeutic Massage course: trigger point therapy, deep tissue and myofascial release, orthopedic massage, and lymphatic drainage — practical skills for clients in pain. We continue to add practical continuing-education courses, so your skills never stop growing.

What Our Graduates Say

★★★★★
I studied at the Academy of Reflexology in 2018. The bilingual teaching in English and Chinese made the courses much easier for me to follow. I passed the MBLEx in 2019 and got my Kentucky massage therapy license the same year. I opened my own massage shop in Kentucky right after getting licensed, and I've been running it ever since. The training gave me solid hands-on skills and the confidence to start my own business. I'm thankful for everything I learned at the school.
